Three Optional Prerequisites to Begin the Doctor of Ministry Program:

Note: Discuss with the Admissions Counselor the Atlantic Coast Fast Track M.Div. option if you do not have a Master of Divinity degree or the two other optional prerequisites listed below.

  • A Master of Divinity degree.

  • A master’s degree and graduate credits totaling 96.

  • A master’s degree, transferable graduate credits, and remaining deficit credits earned in the Atlantic Coast Theological Seminary M.A. program, resulting in 96 graduate level credits.

 Doctor of Ministry Program Description


The Doctor of Ministry curriculum contains a full spectrum of the important issues for which 21st Century men and women in Christian ministry must be thoroughly prepared. The Doctor of Ministry degree program curriculum is a mix of eight courses which are necessary for a successful contemporary ministry. Each course requires the selection of two textbooks for which Projects are required. An Audio Lectures subject list is provided below. Four subjects are to be selected for personal enrichment in the D.Min. program.

The study program is culminated with the writing of the Capstone Project. This is a comprehensive summation, of the learning experience in the degree program. It must include how the learning experience will be implemented, or is now being implemented, in the Degree candidate’s ministry. This fulfills the requirement for validation of Practical Ministry Outcome.


 Applicants with Published Writings


Applicants for the Doctor of Ministry degree may request examination of their published writing(s) for evaluation. The Admissions Counselor will discuss the criteria for acceptance. In some instances, published writing(s) may be considered equivalent to a course, or courses, in the Doctor of Ministry curriculum.
